About

Matthew Orstad is founder and Creative Principal for RocketMidwest Consulting.  He is based in Wessington Springs, South Dakota and has been a web design and application developer since 1999.  He helps individuals and small businesses promote, market and sell themselves on the web.

Matthew graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Matthew’s work experience includes the Good Samaritan Society, the nation’s largest not-for-profit long-term care organization.  He also worked for UNEP GRID Sioux Falls and the LP DAAC at the EROS Data Center at the US Geological Survey.

He is currently the vice president of the Wessington Springs Chamber of Commerce.  Part of his duties include serving on the advertising and marketing committee for the 19th Annual Farm & Home Show in Wessington Springs, SD.  He is also president of the Springs Area Community Club.

He is also co-founder of the BarCampSDK series of technology networking events.
